i am wanting to water my backyard motocross track that is way out of reach of my yard water hose so i bought a lil fish pond fountain pump from lowes yesterday its does 100-155 gph doesnt do nothing at all drips out of sprinkler so what GPH pump do i need or what would be the easyiest and cheapest way to go about this i have a generator also a lil power inverter n 3 or 4 of the 35 gallon drums to hold water in on trailer wanting to just ride around track with sprinklers going to keep dust down. thanks

It would be cheaper and easier to just buy several long hoses and couple them, with a good quality wave pattern sprinkler on the end that you can reposition until you cover the area. You could even daisy chain a couple of sprinklers with wye couplings. I’ve watered a half acre property that way. If you have decent water pressure and good connections, you’ll get the same pressure at the end, even with a couple of hundred feet of hose, that you would nearer the house. The water doesn’t know whether it is in a hose or an underground feeder line.
Think about your little pump: 155 gallons per hour is a joke! My kitchen sink tap can fill a gallon jug in 8 seconds, which means my standard city water pressure is 450 gph or 3 times what that pump produces. And you need a sprinkler with adjustable constriction — the smaller the valve opening the higher the pressure and farther the spray.
