I am 14 in may and i have had back operation in december and i am scared that they will get bored because i can’t do much. already i am going to a chinese and going shopping with them – but i am stuck on what to do when we get home – i have just started high school so the people i am invited won’t know each pther very well – i have a chocolate fountain, swimming pool in the garden, we are sleeping in the log cabin in the garden n a big tv – maybe we could do a karoke singing thing – i just don’t know. last birthday i had was a make-up pamper party so i can’t really do that again

I have 150′ x 150′ area on my backyard (behind the pool) that until recently was wooded. We left trees only on two edges and I wish to utilize the area for garden that will be nice looking but also partially eatable and fun for my 5-year old. We in zone 6. Lot is almost level and trees make it partial sun.
I wish to do it without breaking bank. Water feature would be nice to have.

Leave a section in the front for easy access for your son. Let him plant rows or squares or a design he invents out of different seeds…like lettuce, radish, carrots, onions. Then plant the rest to show case his special garden…maybe a path way of brick around his garden then perennials/shrubs mixed behind.Start low then plant taller ones behind. Try seeding the unplanted areas with wild flowers and native grass seed.
