We are going to put a water feature in our backyard to help reduce the freeway noise. Any thoughts or suggestions on the effectiveness or maintenance of a pondless waterfall, or any other water feature (aprox. 4′ wide x 3-4′ tall)?

We went to our local Statuary company and picked out pieces we wanted and created a fountain. At the largest basin, we installed a float (toilet tank float or animal watering system) connected to house spiket so it refills ‘lost’ water on its own & not damage the pump.
