Backyard Fountains – 4 Different Types of Jets To have In Your Fountains
Since you are shopping for backyard fountains, you are probably wondering what kinds there are out there. Well, there are ones that are basically like bird baths, but still circulate the water around to prevent it from going stale. And there are ones that have jets of water coming from there. There are many different kinds of water jets, but here we are going to discuss 4 of them in particular.
Fountains with Tiered jets:
– this is where there are multiple levels of water jets coming from the fountain. There will be more than 1 level to this fountain, sometimes seen with 3 or 4 basins each shooting jets of water into the one below it. Of course the last basin is just to hold the water, and allow it to go back up, and start the cycle all over again.
A Geyser Fountain:
– this creates an upward jet of water, usually doesn’t go very high, and looks a little like white water rapids. This can either be in a fountain, or a backyard water pond as well. For the fountain style they will usually not go very high, and will normally come from the center of the basin to allow the water to stay inside.
Water Bell Fountains:
– this type of fountain creates what looks like a single wide jet of water that come up from the center of the fountain, and fall outwards into a bell shape made from the water. It actually has a pretty cool effect, and are quite common in malls and shopping centres. However, they do make smaller ones meant for the backyard garden
Domed Water Fountains:
– this type of fountain is alot like the bell fountain, except that it uses several different jets of water coming from the center of the fountain and jet up and outwards creating a dome effect with multiple jets of water. Almost like a domed cage if you will.
So there you have it, 4 different types of water jets coming from your backyard fountains. Which one is for you? Well, only you can really decide that. It really all depends on what you will enjoy looking at while you are in you backyard. Or the style you want your garden to take on. The list can go on and on. But in the end, it is truly up to you to decide.
